Bolted bonnet cast steel globe valve is a stop valve with bolted body and cover, and a gasket or octagonal sealing ring is installed in the middle as a seal. According to the different installation positions, the globe valve can be divided into straight-through globe valve (T-type globe valve) and direct-flow globe valve (Y-type globe valve). Since the valve stem has a relatively short opening or closing stroke and has a very reliable cut-off function, and since the change of the valve seat opening is proportional to the stroke of the valve disc, it is very suitable for regulating the flow. Performance Features
1. Cast steel globe valve relies on the valve stem pressure to make the valve disc sealing surface and the valve seat sealing surface fit closely to prevent the flow of medium. It belongs to the F forced sealing valve.
2. The media flow direction of globe valve is "low in and high out" and "high in and low out". The medium is only allowed to flow in one direction and has directionality during installation.
3. The structural forms of the valve body are straight-through, direct-flow and right-angle.
4. When the globe valve is opened, when the opening height of the valve disc reaches 25% to 30% of the nominal diameter of the stop valve, the flow rate has reached the maximum, indicating that the stop valve has reached the fully open position.
5. The valve structure is simpler than the gate valve, and it is more convenient to manufacture and maintain.
6. The sealing surface is not easy to wear and scratch, and the sealing performance is good. There is no relative sliding between the valve disc and the valve body sealing surface during opening and closing, so the wear and scratch are not serious, the sealing performance is good, and the service life is long.
7. When opening and closing, the valve disc stroke is small, so the height of the globe valve is smaller than that of the gate valve, but the structural length is longer than that of the gate valve.
8. The opening and closing torque is large and requires more effort.
9. The fluid resistance is large because the medium channel in the valve body is tortuous, the fluid resistance is large, and the power consumption is large.
10. The valve disc is often eroded when fully opened.
