Waits Valve high quality Gear PTFE Lined Ball Valve is a valve driven by a gear mechanism. Gear transmission can achieve deceleration and torque amplification, and can be easily operated by handwheel or actuator. It is particularly suitable for large caliber or high pressure occasions, saving more manpower and facilitating remote control compared with manual ball valves. The ball and valve seat are usually sealed with metal or non metallic materials (such as PTFE, metal hard seal), with reliable sealing, low flow resistance and fast opening/closing. It is widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food and environmental protection.
Gear PTFE Lined Ball Valve has a straight-through flow channel to achieve positive closing while minimizing pressure drop and fluid turbulence. Since the ball is independent of the stem, it can move freely along the valve axis in the closed position, but cannot rotate relative to the stem. When line pressure is applied to the ball in the closed state, the ball moves slightly downstream to maintain contact with the downstream seat, thus achieving the primary seal.
Lined ball valves are usually installed without regard to flow direction and are well suited for automated production due to their ISO mounting pads.

Low emissions are achieved thanks to pre-compressed solid PTFE packing rings and adjustable packing gland. Since the ball can move independently of the stem in the closed position, pressure-induced side loads on the stem seal are eliminated, providing excellent stem sealing even after thousands of cycles.

Product Maintenance Notes
1.Regularly lubricate the worm gear (use lithium based grease) to prevent dry grinding and wear.
2.Rotate the handwheel slowly during operation to avoid impact loads damaging the transmission components.
3.Over-temperature and over pressure operation is prohibited (fluoroplastic is prone to deformation at high temperatures).
4.Inspect the lining for damage (such as bubbles or cracks) during shutdown maintenance and replace it promptly.
