Pneumatic Actuation Process
1.Compressed air (0.4–0.7MPa) is input to drive the actuator piston or gear mechanism.
2.Torque is output to rotate the valve stem 90°, switching the ball’s through-hole direction (fully open/fully closed).
3.Single acting cylinders require spring reset, while double acting cylinders are controlled via solenoid valve direction change.
4.Rapid Response: Pneumatic actuators achieve a switching speed of 0.05 seconds per cycle, suitable for emergency shut off scenarios.
Selection Criteria
1.Choose single acting or double acting pneumatic heads based on torque requirements.
2.Prioritize PTFE seals for corrosive media; select metal hard seals for high-temperature/high pressure applications.
3.Flange faces designed to ASME B16.5 ensure pipeline compatibility.
