Working principle:
When the gate lift height reaches about 1 times the nominal diameter of the valve, the fluid channel is unblocked and the valve is fully opened. In actual use, the top of the valve stem is usually used as the full opening indication. After reaching the top position, the hand wheel is usually turned 1/2 to 1 turn as the actual fully open position to prevent locking due to temperature changes. When the hand wheel or drive device is rotated in the opposite direction, the valve stem drives the gate to descend, and the gate sealing surface gradually fits the valve seat sealing surface. Sealing is achieved by pressing the gate tightly against the valve seat through external force or medium pressure to prevent the flow of medium.
