They directly connect the actual valve stem to the reinstalled valve handle. The integrated valve stem extension is directly connected to the valve stem, with the movable valve stem exposed. The two-piece valve stem extension not only includes an integrated valve stem extension, but also comes with a housing. The outer shell serves as an outer sleeve, which is fitted onto the inner valve stem extension to protect the movable inner valve stem extension in buried applications.
