Performance Characteristics

The Waits Basket Strainer offers high efficiency filtration through its unique basket shaped filter design, which significantly increases the filtration area compared to traditional filters, enabling it to intercept more particulate impurities at once and efficiently remove contaminants like rust, sand, and welding slag from fluids to ensure the safe and stable operation of downstream equipment.


Its low pressure drop operation is achieved by a hydrodynamic design that ensures smooth fluid flow with minimal pressure loss, maintaining stable pipeline system pressure, reducing energy consumption and equipment load caused by pressure fluctuations, and enhancing overall system efficiency.


For convenient maintenance and cleaning, the strainer features a quick detachable filter basket simply opening the top or side flange cover allows easy removal of the basket for cleaning or replacement, requiring no complex tools or specialized personnel, thus significantly reducing maintenance time and costs while improving equipment utilization.


With versatile material compatibility, the valve body and basket are available in multiple materials such as cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, and brass, adapting to different temperature, pressure, and corrosive media environments—suitable for both conventional industrial fluids and special media like corrosive acid-base solutions or high temperature steam.


It also ensures excellent sealing performance through high performance sealing materials like PTFE, RPTFE, or graphite on the sealing surfaces, combined with precision-machined sealing structures, reliably preventing medium leakage and guaranteeing the strainer’s tightness and safety even under high-pressure, vibration-prone, or other complex working conditions.
