Maintenance Methods
T-Strainer maintenance should be performed at least once a year, or when the pressure drop is found to be higher than normal. Quickly clean the system about once a month. Please follow the following points for full maintenance:
Make sure the main pipe is closed
Unscrew the cover bolts and nuts and remove the cover [blind flange] and gasket
Take out the filter basket and carefully inspect it for damage. If any holes in the filter are found to be blocked, clean them with compressed air and/or any suitable tool. If any parts of the filter basket are damaged or deformed, replace them with a new spare.
Carefully clean the inside of the filter body
Install new gaskets
Install new or cleaned filter screen
Close the cover
Slowly apply pressure to the line and check for leaks
Write the date of this maintenance operation on the filter body
